Dancers converged in Kapiti this recent weekend for the dancing competitions hosted by Kapiti Caledonian Society which had a total of 28 competitors.
Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a relaxed day of dancing. 4U Direct Ltd donated 2 lucky draw Scholarships, a $50.00 Tuition Fee Scholarship won by 6 & under competitor Lola Van Dyk who has only just begun competing on the stage the previous week, and a $150.00 Scholarship to help attend the 2011 New Zealand Champs in Christchurch which was won by Shelly Easton with second chance winner Stafford Harman.
A Ceilidh was held in the evening at the Scot’s Hall in Raumati with a full hall of people (members and Non members) all who had a great night of Scottish dancing and fun filled activities. Everyone joined in and made it a memorable night.
